HemaQuest is a San Diego and Seattle-based biopharmaceutical company developing proprietary small molecules targeting specific genes that enable the treatment of serious and life threatening hematologic disorders. Currently, the Company has one therapeutic in Phase 2 clinical development - HQK-1001 for sickle cell disease and beta thalassemia. The Company was founded in late 2007 by leading hematologists with funding from top tier investors, including De Novo Ventures, Forward Ventures, and Lilly Ventures. In 2010 they were joined by additional investors, Aberdare Ventures and Latterell Venture Partners.
