About HemaQuest Pharmaceuticals

HemaQuest Pharmaceuticals is a Seattle-based biopharmaceutical company focused on developing small molecule therapeutics based on its short chain fatty acid (SCFA) derivative technologies to treat serious and life-threatening orphan hematologic disorders, including sickle cell disease and beta thalassemia as well as viral-related malignancies. The Company currently has two products in clinical development, HQK-1001 for treating sickle cell disease and beta thalassemia, and HQK-1004 for treating EBV-associated lymphoid malignancies. HemaQuest is also developing other SCFA derivatives for other hematologic disorders, such as other types of anemia and neutropenia.

The Company's investors include De Novo Ventures of Palo Alto, CA; Forward Ventures of San Diego, CA; Lilly Ventures of Indianapolis, IN; and Aberdare Ventures of San Francisco, CA.
